The North/West Passage Corridor encompasses the states along I-90/I-94 from Wisconsin to Washington and is an FHWA Transportiation Pooled Fund (TPF) Study. The objective of the study is to influence ongoing standards development; and utilize effective methods for sharing, coordinating, and integrating traveler information across state borders. Using appropriate delivery systems, traveler information will be made available to internal staff, and the traveling public via 511, Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and other systems. In the North/West Passage Corridor states (North Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota) there are currently numerous systems for collecting, processing and integrating traveler and road maintenance information, and for delivering the information to users. However, this information is not readily shared across state borders. The North/West Passage Corridor states have completed a number of projects to achieve their objective. The development of this website is to assist in providing one location to view corridor traveler information already provided by each North/West Passage state.
